Shower screens are commonly used & keep the water contained in the shower area only, however, it’s becoming increasingly popular to have a walk-in shower if the room permits. This not only eliminates the cleaning of glass screens but also creates a modern look.
Framed
Fully framed shower screens can typically be found in older homes and the type most people are familiar with. They are inexpensive & keep the water from the shower fully contained, the downside to a framed shower is that it takes a little more time to maintain in regards to keeping the frame sparkling clean.
Semi-frameless
The semi-frameless shower screen is a modern take on the fully-framed shower screen. It lessens the bulky appearance of the fully-framed shower screen by integrating strong and durable thinner frames around the outer edge of the glass only. It is very affordable & a perfect solution for those who are looking for shower screens that are visually pleasing while great in function.
Sliding Door
Sliding door shower screens are great for bathrooms with limited space. These also come in an array of styles to suit everyone.
Frameless
The frameless shower screen is sleek but due to the thicker glass it does increase in costs so if you are working to a budget this may not be the one for you. These are easy to clean and maintain without having the addition of any framing and add great style to your bathroom.
Fixed Panel
This shower screen is a single panel of glass that divides the shower area and the rest of the room. There are no doors so you may get some water splash outside of the shower area. We recommend that the panel is no smaller than 900mm in width however size & space in your bathroom sometimes won’t allow this. We would also recommend that the shower grate is positioned at the back of the shower to allow for a good fall on the floor tiles to assist with the flow of water away from the shower entrance if you prefer not to have a shower hob.
On all of the above shower screens, you can also opt for the install of ENDUROSHIELD to the glass panels, this assists with the repellent of water and helps to keep your glass panels nice and clean, we always recommend to squeegee the screen after every shower to help maintain the sparkling glass for years to come.
